  • Indoor airgun and archery building firing positions for 40 Air Guns OR Archery
  • Smallbore Range –  lighting for night shooting 25 – 100 yards
  • High Power Range 100 – 1,000 yards
  • Rifle Silhouette Range
  • DPS – Uncovered 100 yard range
  • Benchrest Range – 300 yards
  • 6 Practical Pistol Bays
  • Pistol Silhouette Range – A covered cement shooting pad featuring silhouette animals at varying distances out to 200 meters

Waterloo Rifle & Pistol Club

  • founded in 1934 as the Rumseyville Pistol Club
    located on the top floor of a large building in Seneca Falls, NY
  • 1935 Club changed the name to Seneca Falls Rifle and Pistol Club
  • April 1936 became an affiliated member of the NRA
  • member’s only
  • 1952 Homer Jenkins, a long-time member, donated 24 acres of land in Waterloo to the Club
  • 2000 name was changed to Waterloo Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc
  •  indoor and outdoor target practice
  • 84 years, there has never been a firearms related incident

Ridgway Rifle Club

 Ridgway Rifle Club established the first Silhouette range east of the Mississippi River 

  • 1927 the Ridgway Rifle and pistol Club
  • Swiss Club Range was located on the bottom of Grant Rd
  • 1935 name was changed to the Ridgway Rifle Club
  • 1937 neighbors started complaining about the noise
  • 1937 moved present Rifle Club property
  • September of 1980 indoor range and Clubhouse built
    cost of the building was $35,747.83
  • 1986 held its first National Championship for hi power rifle silhouette
  •  Ridgway has hosted more national championships than any other independent club in the nation

Camp Perry

located on the shore of Lake Erie in northern Ohio

  • 1906 original land purchased
  • 1907  Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP)
  • 1907 and the NRA-sponsored National Rifle Matches
  • May 1, 1908 officially named the Camp Perry
    named after Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry
  • 1909 evolved into a permanent camp 
  • July 13, 1911  flagpole was erected
  •  During World War I, Camp Perry served as a training center for Army officers and marksmanship instructors
  • 1918 area adjacent the Erie Army Depot for artillery ordnance storage
  • 1918 Small Arms Firing School opened
  • During the Second World War, Camp Perry served as a POW camp for German and Italian prisoners
  • 210 rifle positions
  • 20 revolver positions
  • 1964 Erie Army Depot closed
  • June 24, 1998 a tornado damaged several buildings on the grounds

  • 1896 Tucson Rifle Club was first organized
  • 1919 chartered by the National Rifle Association
  • Originally on a tract of land that is now the site of Pima College West
  • 1967 Three Points Public Shooting Range
  • 1968  held the first State High Power Rifle Silhouette Championships
  •  held the first National High Power Rifle Silhouette Championships
  • held the first National Championships for Pistol Silhouette
  • April 12, 1969 Three Points Public Shooting Range was officially dedicated
  • 1969 Milt Hood received the NRA’s National Service Award in recognition of his work in building the Three Points Public Shooting Range

Sea Girt Range

  • built in 1889
  • 22 targets
    – Army canvas type with oval rings
  • two 1000-yard firing points
  • revolver matches
  • Schuetzen matches
  • Museum located on the grounds at Sea Girt
  • 60 Miles from New York City, NY
  •  maintained by the New Jersey State Rifle Association
  • The marine  bouys  marking the boundary of the Sea Girt range are still there
  • September 1903 the first National Matches with 1,000 competitors 
  • 1907 NRA national championships moved to Camp Perry, OH for more room

Schuetzen Park

  • on the site of Wright family Mansion
  • 1894 bought by Plattduetsche Volksfest Vereen organization
  • “Schuetzen” is German for “shooter”
  •  600 ft rifle ranges
  • 1935 Shooting at site ended
