From his youth, Gaines de Graffenried demonstrated an interest in the study and collecting of antique and historic guns and weapons. He devoted the major portion of his life to this pursuit and eventually assembled one of the most extensive and valuable collections in the nation, eventually displaying his collection at the Fort Fisher Museum in Waco. Color photographs of 40 Colt firearms owned by former Texas Rangers. Includes material on Jack Hays, Clint Peoples, Frank Hamer, Ben McCulloch, G. W. Burks, Bill McDonald, and others.
