Wild Gun Shop with a unique flavor

It’s like a fancygun shop, but with cool people working there
I asked around in town, while visiting, for a good gun shop, and they said check out the shop on the top of the hill

It’s got a bit of everything you’d need on an outing in Wyoming
Perfect place to grab that gear that broke, got lost or forgotten at home
They also have the cool Wyoming logo shirts, hats and stickers I posted earlier today (Those are in house designs, I’m told)

Lander, WY is an AWESOME town, and home to the @NOLSedu National Outdoor Leadership School (or at least a lot of NOLS people are around )

Checked out a small, but cool shop outside Minneapolis, Minnesota called
Get Guns Now
Some inventory on hand, and many custom orders & transfers
They have some ammo too, and a couple of interesting 50BMG rounds on display (he wouldn’t sell me one)

We talked a while about Minneapolis and their anti-gun shop policies. No new gun shops in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Wow, what a cool shop
Tilden Gun in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
A really nice shop, an incredible inventory and an interesting layout that keeps you walking around and exploring new things on the shelves, walls and racks

Plenty of Guns, Holsters & support gear AND interesting old collectables and decorative items

A comfortable place to sit and chat, and a friendly shop owner
These are the kind of Gun Shops that keep me going, such a great experience, a MUST see

Check it out if you are ever in the area

Just a few minutes north of the Lienenkugel beer factory

Toms Guns & Woodworking

Another small shop with some history and an active member in the local community
I talked to them for a while and learned how the shop started as a grocery store (many years ago), then in 1978 they started to carry guns also. Eventually the guns became more of the store, and in 2000 they became a guns shop only.

They are big into hunting and run their own youth turkey hunts for many years

Awsome to learn about another shop that has tradition and brings new shooters into our community

Ammo Box – Sun Prairie

You KNOW I have to stop at a shop with a name like this

But wait there’s more, as I was looking for shops in the Madison Wisconsin area Google pointed out this one called the ammo box

I scroll down to find some pictures and see the reviews of the shop. And I was pleasantly surprised with their response to their one negative comment

I suggest you find their site on Google Maps and see what I mean

When I arrived the place was as I expected a cool shop that’s been in business for decades, 4 years at this location

Just outside of Madison Wisconsin which is not gun-friendly

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and we talked about 2A issues a bit and the history of the store And I may or may not have bought every one of their combloc oil bottles for our patreons

Marengo Gun Shop

Dont know if I’ve seen a layout like this (other than SHOT Show) but it really makes itveasy to test and compare

Large Illinois gun shop
Much selection, friendly staff

Hippopotamus skull the planes hanging from the ceiling, a mix of old and new products, the impressive selection of handguns
This all added up to a great experience, and why I enjoy visiting new gun shops

Spent $50
Bought some cool stuff at their shop. We will send that stuff to random Patreon supporters after the trip

Illinois gun laws are dumb

Disarming the law abiding is all they do

They bully the people who are already willing to comply with the law.
They force us to be disarmed
Which creates a community where ANY criminal can brake the law with no consequence for their action from the victim (only the state) to prevent their illegal actions

So. I had to buy ANOTHER lock box, because i forgot the other 3 in Arizona
This one will be sent to a Patreon supporter (randomly) after the trip

Stopped by this small- big box shop in Iowa
Mostly a farm store, but they did have cheap metal boxes that look like safes (Cannon), and these portable lock boxes from liberty

Illinois, costing me money to loose a right

Hornady Manufacturing

WOW does not describe this tour

No video or pics, company policy
But they do offer two factory tours EACH DAY
You need to take them up on this, its amazing

Machines for making ammo used in WWII, pouring massive ingots of lead, smashing the big ingots into lead wire, to be used elsewhere in the manufacturing

Cool people, legit machines, infinite selection and an amazing history
